they used to have nice pictures of the theater on the renovation site but not anymore. I always pictured a gym but it's actually a nice seated auditorium. I can only find an outside shot

Hey J--you gotta be enjoying this Day up there! My brothers both spent a lot of time in your home state in the 70s, hiking the Brooks Range...beautiful shots from those experiences in my photo album...

I'm way far from the brooks. That'd be several States away in distance where you're at. Went and hiked Hatchers pass ( which is near me) with my wife and kids. Wish I could find my usb for the camera so I could post a pic. It's beautiful up there.

West is also home to an 2,000 seat auditorium — the largest of any high school in Alaska. From the time of its construction in 1954, until 1984, it was the largest meeting space in the city. It has hosted many events and concerts including the Grateful Dead, the Paul Taylor Dance Company, A Prairie Home Companion, Ozzy Osbourne, Blue Öyster Cult, Bee Gees, Ted Nugent, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, and Itzhak Perlman.

Ozzy in Alaska? What did he bite the head off a seal pup?

Johnny Cash must have been a great show
